So, I just finished House of Hades today, it took me forever to finish! Over all it's definitely my favorite book in the series so far, I still have one more book to go. Some of the problems I had with the previous books were definitely fixed, it wasn't nearly as cheesey. I actually cried twice while reading this book, which I was not expecting. I really appreciated the more mature themes and I thought Rick Riordan handled them really well, and he didn't ruin it with humor. My two favorite characters are still Nico and Leo, but I came to respect some other characters more. Particularly Jason, I was not a big fan of him in this series, but I thought the dynamic between him and Nico was really interesting, but also really heartbreaking. Jason becomes almost like a big brother to Nico, but Nico is very cold and untrusting. I mean, granted his very traumatic backstory you can't really blame him. The world building was good. I gave this a 4.5 out of 5 stars. I am excited to see what's going to happen in the final book, I have a feeling that we are finally getting some chapters from Nico's perspective, which I am stoked about!

Just might be my new favorite series of all time!
