3.5 stars. I listened to this book and felt like it would be a better physical read. The plot was good, but I kind of struggled with most of the characters. It felt very young adult. It was paced well but, I just never found myself invested.

What the actual F did I just read?! This book is seriously disturbing…but at the same time I could not look away. There are some SERIOUS SERIOUS trigger warnings to be made aware of before reading this book (which the book does give in advance).

The plot was actually decent, I just felt like there could have been more of it. I think the author did a good job of making the MFC visibly and emotionally confused by everything going on. Zade is a maniac, albeit honorable in his career…that is the only good thing about this man. The best part of this book was Daya. She was written as such an amazing friend that I think everyone deserves to have in their lives.

Kinda frustrated that it ends on a cliffhanger because now I feel like I HAVE to read the second book and I’m not sure I want to.

This book was very motivating! Highly recommend to anyone who is looking to improve their lives in anyway. It gave me confidence that taking baby steps to form better habits in my daily life is actually a GOOD thing. And this book is very well written too.

Cute little short story, 1.5 hour listen. Not enough substance to give a rating, but it’s a cute enough story to recommend.
