Ok...Stephanie's making the same ditzy decisions 5 books in is no longer cute; now its just stupid and annoying. Her family and other supporting characters are still amusing, and they keep me reading. The "mysteries" cetrtainly aren't... Most intriguing mystery of this book was who she called at the end... Hmm??? On to book 6...

This is more a 3.5. Mooner and Bob might be my new fave side characters. Stephanie was slightly less annoying this time.

Nothing will ever be funnier than the failed tortue/beating of Anton. Dead. Seriously, I laughed for a good 5 minutes.
I can not deny the humor in these books, and at least the formula of blowing up cars and intrdocing new zany characters has altered a bit. But I am getting really tired of the love triangle. Either choose, have them both and stop whining, or kick them both to the curb.
And poor Stephanie... every time I think she's smartened up about her job, she goes and does the most obviously stupid thing. But, you gotta love her. She's a complete mess and at least she knows it.

Eleven books in, and I still cry tears of laughter. Eleven books in and I think the cast for the movie of book 1 might be the worst casting choices of any book to movie adaptation ever. Seriously. With the exception of Sherri Shepherd.
Poor Stephanie; she's a two steps forward, one step back girl. Shoots a guy, but still afraid of guns. Punches people. Rams them with cars. Figures out the bad guys, but always a little too late. Slowly maturing, but stil, tempted by the bad boy. Personally, I'm on Morelli's side. I think Ranger lied about who Celia really is...
