“I believe in magic. In evil sorceresses who deep down are really beautiful princesses. I believe in immortals who live in a different world than this one, accessible by magical stone wheels.”

This series has taken so many unexpected turns and was by far not what I expected. I wanted a chill and relaxing book but got falling kingdoms instead, and I'm not complaining.

I cannot wait for the 6th book and I'm not sure if it's going to be the last but I really hope not. I have fallen in love with characters I did not expect. The character development is exceptional.

The book showed different sides of all the characters. Deciding whether a character is 'evil' or 'good' is not something you can just do in this world. The only thing you can do, is love them <33

"No, it’s not an excuse. But it’s a reason. You were a seven-year-old child terrified of your father. I saw in your eyes—that fear. I thought your life might be different with him than what I experienced in his employ as a guard, that he would value you and treat you like gold. But he doesn’t, does he? Not even now.”

MINI SPOILERS AHEAD FOR FALLING KINGDOMS:

MAGNUS MY LOVE!!!

It showed just another reason behind Magnus and explains why he acts like that and why he is how he is. He values his throne, his family and his kingdom much more than himself. And I am actually so happy that there were people who actually saw the real him even before the actual novel starts and comes around.

The novella gives a clearer view and message on Magnus and this is just a must read for the fans of Falling Kingdoms and all who plan to start this series. Magnus has always been one of my favorite characters no matter what <3

“Would you rather live one perfect day over and over or live your life with no perfect days but just decent ones?”

This was good and then it was not. I loved this story so much but at some point the story just suddenly didn't feel like it for me. I guess I also have to include that I tried reading the second book in this series but I had to accept that that was just it for me.

I think this book might have been a good standalone book instead of a series because as a ya reader I really didn't seem to get intrigued by the plot enough to finish the series. Which is pretty sad since I adored the writing style and the characters were all so cute and I loved them to my hearts content. EXCEPT!! Belly. I got so annoyed of her and I don't even understand why. And with that being said I didn't ship her with any of the male love interests.

In the end, even though I generally did not like this book I loved the little details of the books. such as the quotes how the boys acted to Belly, the relationship of the boys to their mom, etc. This is a nice sweet book that might have been better, for me, if it was just a standalone.
