Rachel Gillig knocked it out of the park with her sequel to One Dark Window. I did NOT want to stop listening and yet I had to. Absolutely amazing story from an absolutely amazing author and I can't wait to read more from her.

This book exceeded expectations. Great story, interesting plot, unique premise, complicated characters that aren't 2d. Can't wait to read more.

In-credible.
I like to think that as a society we could do better than how it happened in the book but I don't think it's possible. I think we are more greedy as a whole and it would take a lot more work to fix the world than  what it did in the book.

I am very confused by this book. I'm not exactly sure what happened or why it was recommended as a thriller/crime novel.

It felt very fetish-y, not because it is about the fetish and kink lifestyle but because it felt like it was written as a fetish. It fetishized the gay couple: they were gay, they were kinky, they were fetishists.

Elevation was very good. The second story Laurie took me by surprise. It's about a widower who receives a dog and they beginning of their life together. Its fault lies in the fact that it's just a very short story and seems to end rather abruptly.

Such a very good story for middle-grades. A bit intense at times but done well with hope and understanding.
