what a punch

it took me a long long time to read this book, because a lot of quotes resonated a little bit too well in me — i cried.
i cried at the end mostly, but i cried internally during all the book.
again, taylor jenkins reid made me feel things and touched sensible parts — she’s just too talented.
the story vibrated through me, spoke to me. And the writing was amazing; even though it was written like an interview, i saw everything, i saw the story in front of my eyes as if it were real images and i heard the songs as if i were listening to them for real. The immersion was just divine.

i felt my heart ache at the end — great stories don’t always end like we had hoped

i highly recommend this book, of course, if you love rock, love stories, real stories, stories of human beings: this books is an awesome experience.

Je suis FRUSTRÉE. Je n’ai pas d’autres mots.
Une romance en Écosse, c’était pourtant le rêve pour ces fêtes de noël ! Mais quand ils se sont tous les deux mis à se tourner autour, en ne pensant presque qu’au sexe et en étant presque que horny… J’ai commencé à me lasser. Et pour être honnête, je trouve le MC un peu toxique at some point. Être aussi possessif alors qu’il a dit lui-même qu’il ne voulait que du sexe, c’est vraiment moyen.

Et puis, pourquoi, pourquoi un enfant à la fin ? J’aurais plutôt préféré voir leur lune de miel… Une romance n’est pas obligée de se finir par un bébé pour être une bonne romance, au contraire.

Bref, ce livre et cette histoire m’ont frustrée et déçue.

i enjoyed this one more than the 3rd one, found the g- narratives quite interesting, in fact. and i feel bad for hughie, still wanting to try to do the right things and save everybody

what a story, i don’t even know where to start, i’m writing this with tears in my eyes. I’ve read the last chapters seeing words through my tears. I’ve developed attachment to the characters without even realizing it. I’ve developed attachment to the story, and I couldn’t put the book down. I needed more, always. And when I had more, I cried, a lot. I don’t think I will ever be able to recover from what I read, this story will stay in my mind forever.
