I wanted to fall in love with this book because the premise was so interesting. Unfortunately, that is not what happened. I definitely enjoyed the book, I thought it was a good read and a good break from my school work but it did leave things to be desired. The way a couple of things in the relationship's progression felt rushed to me, and I wish there were more aspects of the plot expanded and explored. Overall this book wasn't really bad but wasn't really amazing either.

Honestly, I wasn’t enjoying the book all too much at the beginning. It was good but it wasn’t drawing me in as quickly as I had hoped it would. That changed along the way and this book quickly became a new comfort read for me. There are some things I wish could have been expanded on and I wish with everything in me that the epilogue could have been longer so I could see more of them together but it ended on a very good note so I’m happy.

I struggle with slow burn because I just love getting to the juicy romantic bits. because of this, I found myself getting frustrated a few times. I had to keep reminding myself of the very real situation and feelings that went into the dynamic between the characters and once I was able to do that it was such an enjoyable read I finished it in three days while doing my first days back at uni.
