A lot of twists and turns. Everytime I tried to predict the plot it would shift into a different direction. The way this ended I’m guessing there maybe a part 2 👀.

I can’t stand men like Quincy. Just because of his good looks, he thinks he can treat people any kind of way. He was unloyal and a backstabber. He got what he deserved and a little more.
Lia is just as grimy as Quincy, maybe even worse. She was too mature to be acting the way she was.
The real victim was Sheldon. I feel bad for him. Hurt people hurt people.
The story did turn out differently from what I was expecting, but part of the plot was predictable. Still a good read. It was suspenseful and fast-paced.
Karma always spins the block, so treat people the way you want to be treated. Stay off those dating apps because you never know what you can get yourself into.
Thank you Tanisha for this ARC copy, all thoughts are my own.

This was a good girl falls for bad boy. Good girl turned bad boy out though. I enjoyed this. It was short but straight to the point and held my attention.

Although Jamison was sick, he was already deemed a menace to society because of where he came from. Who he came from. He was failed before birth. I blame Dr. Sterling for all of this. He needed to be admitted as well because something is loose in that head of his. That man gotta be one of the devils puppets. Hate is real.
Kera did not deserve this. She put a lot of people in harm’s way unintentionally, but I really hope she learned from her actions.
One thing Octavia is going to do is have your jaw dropping. I’m really curious to know what goes on in this lady’s mind lol. No, seriously though. One day I’m going to have to sit down to see which one of her male characters is the most unhinged.
This really teaches a valuable lesson. Don’t act on emotions. Think before you do. Everything you do has consequences, whether it’s good or bad. Oh, and be careful on those goddamn dating apps because $#!t can get real.

It bothered me that Harlem couldn’t see how Saynt felt about her. What real man wants his girl out in the streets doing what he does ? I understand she’s young and in love, but damnn sis could’ve had better sense. Like you have a father that loves and cares about you, preaches to you, and you still don’t listen for a man that just give you a wet @$$ smh. I’m happy she found out the hard way tho. Sometime we gotta show our kids tough love even if it hurts us.
Seoul was such a gentleman. I liked him. He fell so quick for Harlem. Toya was a real friend but if I was her I would’ve had to get my get back on Harlem.

I started to DNF because this started off slow and I can’t stand slowburns but babyyy Damien aka Big Daddy had me in a chokehold. Like I’m ready to take a trip to Ecstasy Island.
He met his match with Morgan cause sis was no pillow princess she was with the $#!t. Had his @$$ in a frenzy dropping nothing but thousands.
The only con I have is I would’ve loved to see more of them. I felt like I only got a glimpse of them together and then it was over. But other than that this was good & 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️.
Quardeay been on my TBR for the longest. I’m definitely getting into more of his catalog.

Asif MFing St. Thomas 🥵🥰. I knew he would be something else because he’s the Prime son lol. His mannerisms and the way he carried himself were so sexy. I loved his character. I loved the way he loved Sophie. He spoiled her and treated her as his own. The way he stood down for Anastazia was everything. He was not playing behind her. They were cute ngl.
Now I was expecting more when it came to the trial situation since that was a main part of the story. I feel like it felt short because more needed to be done. It was done before it even started.
Also, what happened with Nori was so unexpected. Like it literally just happened out of nowhere, and Tbh I didn’t see much of her presence making an impact. It’s like what was the point?
I do wish I could’ve seen more of Asif with his line of work, but all I got was stalking D crazy Milan. She was every damn where.
Overall, I loved Asif and Stazi, but I do feel like for 500+ pages some of the questions I had could’ve been answered. Certain parts were not needed, whereas things that were needed were left out, but read the book because it is interesting, and every time you turn around, something was happening.
