Solid 4.5!! I loved this book. It was so different from other fantasy books I’ve read. The world-building didn’t last for half the book & it had a great plot, twists I wasn’t expecting, & a cliffhanger leaving you wanting more!!!

I absolutely LOVED this book!! I’ve loved every Emily Henry book so idk why I left this on my bookshelf for so long. Her books are so digestible yet always have a deeper meaning and storyline intertwined with the main story.

As an eldest sister with a younger sister, I felt Nora’s character so hard. The parentification, the perfectionism, the responsibility, the way she put everyone else first—I saw so much of myself in her. I absolutely loved this book and the way it explored an older sister finally getting the chance to learn who she is outside of being a caretaker, which was not even the “main” love storyline. It was just as captivating. Nora’s journey was beautiful, and seeing her soften while still staying true to herself made my heart so full. She will forever hold a special place in my heart 🫶🏼

10000000 stars. Dr. Maté challenges what we view as our “norm” in society and speaks to sooooo many larger issues we need to tend to as a society if we want real change. So much wisdom in this book. It seems like I have highlighted the entire book looking back through it. So many good points I will absolutely be going back to as a therapist and a human.
A must read for everyone!!!!!

Tbh, I think this book was confusing and overwhelming solely bc I didn’t know what was going on half the time and I don’t think it was the book’s fault half the time 😅

Also went into this book not knowing what it was about but seeing it’s a must read with the audiobook. It was definitely different. I enjoyed some parts of it and other parts I did not. In my opinion, it had a weak storyline at times and had been way longer than it needed to be. But the banter and quirkiness were fun!

I went into this book not knowing anything about it and I’m so glad I did because I was pleasantly surprised! Not the best storyline ever but it was silly and unique; I look forward to reading the rest!!
