A History of Women in 101 Objects by Annabelle Hirsch

Did not finish book. Stopped at 25%.
DNF - I made it 25% through the audiobook.

I love the concept and am sure I'd like it in a physical format rather than the audiobook. Each chapter is read by a different woman, which is great in theory (and for a different project), except that they're quite short chapters so it didn't really work. Maybe if every time period was a different woman? I'm not sure.

It was a good book, but just after halfway through I found myself really dragging through it. I didn't even want to finish it at one point but I did and I did enjoy the ending so I'm glad I did!

The show is so much better. I understand that it's  a collection of her columns from the new York Observer but it felt weird for there to not really be any storyline until the last fifth of the book.

While I thoroughly enjoyed this book, the setting, the characters and the writing, I can tell I didn't get everything I was supposed to out of my read. It's just a feeling, but I know there's something I missed or some connections I'm not making but the story didn't feel quite finished. I still feel like I'm waiting for the end of the story despite the book being done. But that may be the point! Life for Alice and Nelly went on after these parts happened after all.

Loved it!!! I love everything ive read by Lea so far so that isn't a surprise. Evan was such a perfect grumpy lovable Canadian, and Mel was the perfect person to find her found family (Evans obvs). Such a cute read, and loved all the mods to Canada! The pronounciation of poutine, the introduction of timbits to an America! Adorable.

I loved this book. The way the story was told and how it unfolds felt so natural and smooth. I loved that while it was a love story, it was really a story about growing up I think.

A great read about how the medical world has viewed women in the past to today! It doesn't touch on intersectionality as much as I would have expected but as a general overview of the topic I think it was great.
