A cute sequel to the other book! I liked that it was a sequel and still about Christmastime but didn't feel like I was rereading the same book again!

I read most of this book in one sitting, I had only read 50 pages before today. The writing itself isn't amazing, but the structure and characters were fantastic! I really could not put it down.

I really enjoyed it, but like all books written before like the 1950s, it took a long time to read. It was never boring or really dry, it's just the word choices and sentence structure in classic books needs a bit more care and attention than a book written and published today.

The characters were a little similar so I had troubling telling them apart while listening to the audiobook. I really liked the plot and the writing, but I was confused sometimes.

*this book was not for me*

I read it because I'm going to be a teacher soon and want to have read most, if not all, of the books in my classroom library. This is one of the books I want in my library, so I read it. I don't like YA books anymore, I'm just too old unfortunately, and since this account is for my personal reading journey I'm eating it based on my personal enjoyment.

It was a little too similar to TID to me.
