While I did enjoy this story a lot, it just doesn't hit the same as the first one

I started this story a bit annoyed with Emma for moving on and being engaged to another man in less than 3 years. I loved the message and the theme of a how we change and grow as people and how that doesn't negate old love or mean it wasn't worth anything, but that was an incredibly short amount of time to do that without seeing a physical body. I haven't actually been in this situation but I can't even imagine living my life normally again in this short time period, let alone falling in love again. Not that Emma should have never fell in love again, absolutely not my opinion, I just didn't think that was entirely realistic? Or at least not for me.

I love books that focus on what it means to be human and show people in the simplest ways through unlikely events. This was a great book that really moved me with it's work and it's themes about the human condition and how we're all just trying our best to survive.

The characters were so fleshed out and felt so very real while reading. This could have been a true story for how real it felt and the interactions between the sisters especially were so well done. I loved the dynamics between the sisters and between them and William, and how despite the things that happen in their relationships with each other they don't all lose hope or faith in each other. It was a great read!

Absolutely terrible book. I get that's it's satire but it wasn't well done and mkenme feel icky the entire time I was reading it. The blatant fatphobia is what really sealed the deal.of.putting this down though - it was insane. A great reminder of what it was like growing up in the late 2000s early 2010s but that's literally the only redeeming thing.

I liked the movie so I picked this up. But this is supposed to be a self help book. I think this entire book could really be summed up in a single blog post because I got the point pretty quickly and was bored by page 13. I don't think this is a book that's needed.

As much as I love getting to see Ansels POV of the morning after, it wasn't all that great and didn't give us that much additional information.
