Teagan actually pissed me off sm I can’t even finish this book. We sh*t on men falling in love with manic pixies but I hate when the MC has a bff that is just an unbearable train wreck but “cute yay we love her” 🙃😩 
grain of salt - I’m in therapy dealing with toxic friendships so I’m extra sensitive rn

Uhhh I didn’t realize this book wasn’t a stand alone so I’m really annoyed that the ending is a cliff hanger lol idk if imma read book 2 I thought it was gonna be abt a different couple and I figured this was a quick read. 

I guess the stand alone assumption is on me? Idk but it wasn’t bad but it’s not amazing - it was JUST getting juicy though…

Def would recommend as a holiday quick read.

Phew what a ride??? I was so curious how a ghost who end up with a vamp, must say the ending worked out perfectly! Excited for the next book haha

I enjoyed the book but it didn’t wow me or anything either, high key want violet’s story though so I will def read that.

It was good but the whole fast pass set up and whatnot slowed me down until I just kinda stopped and have very little motivation to try and finish it now.

Mari is amazing and I loved how much Bowen shoved his foot in his mouth but because we get his POV we know he doesn’t mean the things he says the way he says them (can’t get that in real life with a man 🥲) 

That said I almost gave this book a 3.75 because the ending
with her self-enthrallment and some of the other witch stuff was just straight up confusing? I think more context/explaining would have been a tad helpful.
 

I will say it took *finishing* the book to retroactively piece together some of the magic logic. But the way Nix’s predictions played out were 10000% delicious
and made Bower’s grief so much more understandable. Eff Mariah for enchanting him just to run away from him 😭
so that is why I ended up giving 4 stars.
