No shame in my self help game. This book was enlightening. And a little depressing. I’m broken. But now I know it!

I am giving this what may be the first five star rating I’ve ever given. I LOVE Karen and Georgia so I may be biased, but I loved it. Whenever I listen to their podcast I feel like I’m hanging out on the couch with them, and this book felt the same way.

2.5. It started really slow and I almost gave up on it but there was just enough to keep me going. Recognizing that it is a YA novel, I will forgive the fairly predictable twists. Overall I enjoyed it and I will probably read the second book in the series eventually, but there was nothing special about it.

*pet peeve: there is not a teenager on the planet that uses the word “slacks” to describe pants.

I enjoyed the book and the plot had enough twists to keep it interesting. I didn’t find it to be a page turner but it held my interest until the end.
