I enjoyed the first book in this series a lot. This book bogged down in the middle and took me forever to finish. It was sort of a letdown but I'll keep reading to see how things turn out. Fans of the Hunger Games should check this out though.

I'm a big fan of Sherlock Holmes so I was into this series when I found out about it. Mary Russell is on the scene here as his apprentice and soon-to-be wife. Many of the old characters remain including Mycroft but Russell replaces Dr. Watson as his companion. I liked this book a lot but it got a little wordy to the end. I have a problem with wordy endings. I just wand to know what happens!
