I am tripping on Murakami right now. While reading his stories I get this feeling that I am looking at life from high up in the sky.
The recurring theme of all the 6 short stories is the Kobe earthquake. Murakami in his signature style draws parallel between the earthquake and the soul-quake that ordinary people feel on a regular basis in their daily mundane lives. My favorite in the collection is “Super frog saves Tokyo” (I would love to talk about Hemingway with Mr.Frog).
This book was like a Murakami appetizer and I just cannot wait to try out the main course.

Perfect book for a sluggish afternoon.Binya wins the readers’ heart by her disarming innocence and selfless deeds. The story reminds us that we should always be in touch with the child present inside all of us. Ruskin Bond is mostly known for his children’s books but I believe we adults can also  learn a lot from his stories.
