I’d like to believe that the feminism movement has progressed by leaps and bounds since this book first came out. I wouldn’t classify this as an enjoyable read but I don’t think that was the author’s goal anyways. She wants the reader to feel angry and ask uncomfortable questions to the society (and themselves) regarding archetypal gender roles.

A compelling generational saga set in the backdrop of a volatile Burmese political scenery . The plot lines were a bit predictable at times but the story was paced beautifully. A must read for history buffs

This is a villain origin story , and a very good one at that. Heathcliff is one of the most diabolical antagonist I have encountered recently in the literary world . Quite enjoyed his character arc .

Good story , average prose , bad editing. There are two whole chapters on mathematical topics (I mean , come on !!! ).
