I love both the FMC Tanika and the MMC Gideon.  The banter, the sports references, the friendship between Tanika and her friends were all great. But really, this romance with main characters over 40 is such a joy to read. The audiobook is fantastic, and I highly recommend listening.  I really enjoyed Tati Richardson's Losing Sight. This was absolutely a great romance with a touch of magical realism/fabulism.

This was a quick and happy read.
When you really think about it- things I. Life are really a bit simpler than what we really think.

The characters are relatable, well-developed,, The chemistry between the main characters was strong, and their journey towards understanding each other is touching. The book explores the idea of second chances and shows that it's never too late to change your life.
This was pretty predictable but enjoyed it.  This reminded me of a Hallmark movie.
