This was a really well-written book that I read in about 24 hours… I could not put it down. The subject matter is heavyyyy though and the ending left something to be desired.

Even though second chance romances are my least favorite trope, I still really enjoyed this book. I liked the character arcs and the personal growth the main characters showed throughout the story. I just feel like this trope tends to frustrate me a lot… like if they just talked they could clear everything up!!

Wow.. this one was veryyyy dark and disturbing. I enjoyed the sister’s bond and the way they looked out for each other - I don’t know much about the foster system but know how hard those kids have it, so the representation of their struggles and eventual healing was really hard to read about (but also empowering towards the end).
