Quite driven story with a bit of depth to both plot and characters despite the relatively short arc.

A very disturbing time in Ugandan history portrayed through a range of fictive characters (though real enough).
The plot is inventively put together through the characters separate point of views and often side characters are introduced and subplots are stacked, without it being overburdened.
The violence is visceral and the portraits are  vivid.

There’re potential in the school for cryptozoologists, but the story wants too much and rushes forward way to fast - the plot doesn’t have time to mature, neither do the characters.

First of all I have to say that I am exactly the correct audience for this. I experienced the Swedish eighties and this is a great representation, or reminiscing, of the world that engulfed the nerdy child.
Every painting and every text awakens stories that could have been told and I love it.

Intense combat and focused narrative with a few breaks for politics makes for good suspense. Entertaining and promising for the upcoming novels in the series.

The name Chris Claremont doesn’t always mean a great story, obviously. Because this one’s a mess of characters and places that you don’t get to know and don’t care about.

Fine story and a further look into the family. The mystery isn’t as well put together as in previous books though and the art work is nice but doesn’t excel.

Tense, claustrophobic feeling that creeps towards you. Well composed, even if it feels that there are potential for more in the story. Great art work with a tremendous eye for color and the feelings that color transmits.

This is a tabletop role playing game set in the world created by Simon Stålenhag in Tales from the Loop and Things from the Flood.
Good world building and adventures that works well.

Fantastic blend of immaculate artwork (the coloring, hues, details and amazing perspectives are really top notch) and a story that engage with some twists and turns.
