Pretty good. Not my favorite by them, but enjoyable. Ends on one heck of a cliff hanger.

Pendergast is one of my favorite characters out of all the fiction books I've read. Engaging, tense, exciting -- maybe a little over the top at times, but what is A.X.L. Pendergast if not over the top sometimes? Stayed up til 2 am to finish this book and I'm already moving on to the next one... After I sleep.

It was fine. Not bad, not great. Maybe I'm not a huge fan of his writing, though this was from the 90s. Maybe he's gotten better.

Pretty good. Tapered off a bit at the ending. Creepy and atmospheric.

Glad that there's a (maybe brief?) return to the supernatural. Climax drags on a bit but that seems to be their thing. Very enjoyable.

Jim Dale is the best narrator I've ever heard. Relistening to the books and he breathes new life into them.
