I wasn't a fan at first of the first person omniscient, but as the story went on I love it! The book feels very poetic in the writing style and alot of big words are used, but it's great.

Honestly I think this telling of soul mates is so interesting and the author just does a great job to get you to fall for Silas, even tho their circumstances are less than ideal with Eliza being with Logan.

The ending was mind blowing, I cried the whole way through just to get thrown for another crazy loop!

If you liked Addie La Rue you'll like this book too.

It's a good book, but there's not enough dialogue to really feel for the characters. The way the world works is really interesting but the author never explains (not in depth) what a Fata or Incubo are. Author pretty much just says Mortals no nothing of the beings and in turn with our FMC being a mortal we know nothing, but I think with Isa being a Banner who's had exclusive training since she was 8 should know these things.

Obviously not the intricate workings (cuz Incubo and Fata seem to keep everything private) but with Isa saying she's has lots of training by exclusive people (paraphrase) I feel like the Black Banners really don't know anything 🤷🏼‍♀️ just that they're assassin's good at killing. But I feel like assassin's should know more than the normal mortal you know? This super elusive/secret society and a few of the other characters guessed Isa was a Black Banner?? Felt cheap.

Overall the storytelling was about 3.5⭐ (cool storyline wasn't executed the best)
Characters/their development 2⭐ (Isa felt very one dimensional and even tho the Incubo can make Isa want to have sex with them it just felt a little unrealistic)
Plot 3⭐ (all of the good parts of the story happened at the end)

Great ending the the series!! It was fast and full of emotional turmoil, loved all of the twists and turns, but the ending felt meh.

another YA author making the FMC loose her power so the man can keep his. Honestly kinda ruined the book

Other than that Kiva and Jaren are adorable and my heart bursts for them.

I honestly feel like this was the worst one of the books...it didn't grab my attention like the first two. I cannot believe this whole 600ish pages was just a week's worth of ordeals. The flip flopping from all the characters are annoying as hell.

Caleb has been a fave of my from the beginning and now I'm iffy about him cuz he again turned into an asshole and was gonna murder her on their way to the Fairy Fair. Idk I get bully romance but this feels more than just bullying to me. Orion and Darcy imma fan of but still.

There is sooo much fluff to this book which makes these books feel Soo long and not in a (can this book never end) way

The book was really cool and had a great concept.

Was sooo slow to get in to and there is so little dialogue between everyone it's really hard to get a vibe on everyone. But when they do talk together you can feel the connection but I just hate being stuck in Rhona's head.

I'm hopeful the next book is better, I liked this book, but the grammatical errors and slow pacedness of the book made this one a little hard to get into.

"We love rainy days, don't we baby?"

This book grips you by the throat and doesn't let go. I cried. The whole book. It's a HEA and when I expected it not to end happily it did and I cried even more.

I'll not recover from this series. Best duology hands down.

I swear to God this is literally so amazing. I found out about it on booktok and was totally not thinking I was going to vibe with the book, most booktok books are ass, but this one right here? Amazing, I don't think I'll recover from it.
