Would get a better rating if I didn't read the authors better book a month before. Decent, but in the end just decent.
Narrator is great.

Technically I dnfed it but it ruined my holiday for 75% so I'm taking it. Needed so much editing I'm not sure if anything would be left in the end.

I really enjoy the themes, and I love the type of world building used in most of the stories, so I had high expectations. The collection is quite uneven, and it made me wonder at some point if it's an anthology of different authors. Some of the stories really worked for me, and some I simply could not recall days after reading, which can be worse than hating it.
Rating is probably pushed up by the fact that my favourite was at the very end.

I really liked it once it picked up the pace and the conflict started. I think the author has beautiful prose, and can really bring some images across.
Unfortunately for over half of the book I wash pushing myself through to get to anything interesting. Until chapter 28 (!!!) I just didn't really care about them eating fruit and going on walks. There just wasn't anything compelling in it for me in the cozy coming of age part and honestly I think it's an awkward combination with even more awkward pacing and balance.

It's a fun book! It's silly and tropy but its literary a fake dating harlequin so it's what you sign up for.
The plot was goofy at times but touched on some topics I do not expect in erotica and was actually well structured.
I really appreciated the body positivity in it. I don't think someone who is not really into men would enjoy it but I do enjoy a thick tigh and grapefruit calves (even if it's a phrasing I never want to see again).
Despite the cover it is not obviously a destiel fanfic :D
