An interesting narrative with multiple characters and perspectives all centering around a mystery killer. I did find the beginning a confusing but as I got further in I was able to connect characters and scenes. It bleak but hopefully, sad and intense but overall a great reflective read.
A ghost story set in the 1920s about a young black girls move from the Jim Crow south to Philadelphia. An emotional story about racism, family and unfinished business. Ophie is a great character trying to keep her head down but keeps getting tangled into the mess of the dead. Please check trigger warnings!
A great read about the people of Appalachia and life in the hills. One part memoir one part biography this book goes through the life of the women in the authors life and how they lived and grew in hill country.

A fun adult office romance. I liked how we didn’t waste time with the will they won’t they and got straight into the relationship. First manga I’ve read in awhile.
A great fantasy with Norse mythology as it’s backbone. Great character relationship and a witty back and forth romance. My only complaint is the main characters wishy washyness girl can’t make a decision without backtracking 4 different times.
Felt like a lifetime movie but I sometimes like lifetime movies. Most of the characters annoyed but still feel the need to finish the story so a sold 3 for that.

A great mystery read w/ an interesting narrative choice. I love the relationship of the family and the back and forth between what happened and what we know what happened.
A nonfiction book that truly reads like a movie. Something so small as the invention of the lie detector having such a huge impact on not just law, politics and corporate wild. The lives of the men who created and how it destroyed their friendships and lives.
