Maybe his story was my story. Maybe his pettiness is sleeping in all of our hearts. Perhaps the feeling I felt while reading the book was because the solitude and loneliness he felt were feelings I already knew. Maybe it was because, while I was looking at him and cursing myself for being such a dull person, I knew that the honesty and loneliness hidden on the other side were feelings that anyone could experience. Maybe I found comfort in the fact that someone else was experiencing the same feeling of isolation as me. So, “In short, I want to live.”

Was too depressing. Probably would need to be more emotionally prepared to finish

Was not so easy to follow
