I really liked the premise but I felt the execution wasn’t there! It was all very surface level and felt very YA without actually being good YA.

Thanks Libro.fm and McLennan and Stewart for the ALC.
like most essay collections I thought that some were much stronger than others. While most of the content wasn’t ideas I am unfamiliar with, I did enjoy the focus on Canadian events and politics. I also liked the memoir aspects of the essays. I felt like otherwise this didn’t add much to the feminist literature. The last essay/epilogue which was a relatively uncritical look at Taylor Swift did the opposite of tie the book together for me.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 18%.
Took too long of a break and now I can’t remember the plot so I’m going to have to restart this at some point!

I think I enjoyed this? It was so weird. I don't know if it was good for my brain to read this. Some parts were like reading someone's intrusive thoughts in detail. Please read the content warnings! Don't blame me if you hate this please, I definitely would understand!
