This follows Archer Holland, who lives with his best friend, Brogan. Recently, Brogan discovered he has a sister and is determined to get to know her. But what happens when he invites her to live with them? Archer doesn’t trust her, believing she could leave at any moment. Can they get along?

This was such a feel-good read with great audiobook narrators, so make sure you pick it up in audio format!

First off, I really enjoyed the hearing impairment and asthmatic representation in this story—it adds depth to the characters, and I truly appreciate it. The tension at the start was delicious, and when Archer finally gave in to temptation and stopped being so grumpy toward Sabrina, it was so much fun.

I love Sabrina for her efforts to connect with her brother and get to know him, as well as for chasing her dreams despite a few challenges along the way. The way she handles Archers hearing impairment made my heart swell.

This was a great storyline that leans more toward being character-driven. I’m looking forward to more of Rebecca’s work!

This follows Nash Sinclair and Bexley. For the past three years, after an accident in the F1 series, Nash has been racing in the OWC league. But an opportunity arises when he is approached by the Titan F1 team to fill a seat. At first, he is hesitant—but what does he have to lose? Especially now that he will be working alongside his ex-fiancée, an impressive strategy engineer.

This was a great, quick, and easy audiobook to listen to—especially as I’m heading to the Australian GP next week! Perfect timing for its release.

At the start, we got an enemies-to-lovers vibe between them, and you could feel the tension. I also enjoyed the flashbacks to the accident and how it affected Nash—they added depth and emotion that I loved.

Bexley is doing everything she can to prove herself in a male-dominated sport, and she finally gets the opportunity to do something she loves and is passionate about. Despite the challenges ahead, I loved her representation.

I’m glad these two found their way back to each other.

So, was it worth reading to complete the duet? No, no it wasn’t.

I’m going to be honest—I pretty much guessed what would happen in this second book before even starting it. I don’t understand the hype, and honestly, I was bored. But I guess I wasn’t expecting much, considering I gave the first book three stars.

Now, let’s get into my thoughts (which may contain spoilers—so be mindful). This book is quite dark due to its content and themes, so definitely check trigger warnings before diving in.

On a positive note, I enjoyed Adeline’s strength in the first half of the book—she really held onto it. But by the halfway point, it started to fade. Then came the journal found in the floorboards, and suddenly, every other chapter featured diary entries from a past captive. And I was just like… why are we doing this again? We already got this in the first book. If anything, I would have preferred Adeline making journal entries from the start instead—it would have given us a better look into her thoughts.

Now, let’s talk about the part that annoyed me the most: Adeline’s escape. It was so bland. She finally gets out and starts running toward the train tracks—smart move, good for her. But then, in the very next chapter, we jump to Zade heading to the location, and suddenly, there are sixty men searching the property for the escaped prisoner. And yet, ZADDY just says, “It’s her, let’s head to the train tracks,” and boom, there she is. Like… seriously? That was way too convenient. I actually laughed. If there were that many men looking for her, I expected more of a struggle. But nope—Zaddy rolled up and found her easy peasy.

Another issue I have is when Adeline has been saved, and at some point, she says, “Oh, Zaddy, it’s not your fault I was captured, but you saved me.” GIRL, be so for real. You are delulu—that man is partly responsible for you being captured and tortured.

I really don’t like Zade—he’s bland and monotone, with no depth of character. All we really know about him is that he’s an obsessed stalker who’s willing to kill and eradicate anyone involved in trafficking or harming women and children. But beyond that? There’s nothing. I feel like I know nothing else about him, which made it impossible for me to care about his connection with Adeline—I just didn’t feel anything between them.

I’m not a fan of the character Sibby either. She feels like a Harley Quinn knockoff, and personally, a character like this doesn’t phase me or interest me

Lastly, the spice was uncomfortable. After everything Adeline went through in the first half of the book, I was honestly shocked by how the spice scenes played out toward the end. I just couldn’t enjoy it, and as I mentioned above, I didn’t feel any real connection between them.

This did not live up to the hype and just isn’t for me. Honestly, I can see why I put off reading this for the past 3–4 years.

This follows Harper and Wes. After catching her scumbag ex cheating, Harper walks away but craves a little revenge—leading to trouble when her ex starts blackmailing her. But what happens when Wes Holden, the lead guitarist of Atlas Oaks, steps in to help her get payback? Will they fall in love?

This was a fantastic audiobook, so I highly recommend picking it up in this format! I loved these two together. I felt bad for Harper and her self-doubt about her worth due to her circumstances, but Wes was perfection—secretly crushing on her for a while, pretending (but not really pretending) in their marriage of convenience. He made her feel loved and seen. After a while, Harper fell hard for all the things he did and would do for her. I enjoyed the revenge plot and redemption storyline, and it had the perfect amount of delicious spice. Overall, it was a great read, and I really enjoy Morgan’s work.

This book is beautifully written and truly pulls at your heartstrings. I loved the first book in the series, but I think I love this one even more! I’m a sucker for a good single-dad and love-after-loss romance. The way they met had me laughing and smiling—I loved it.

Maren is brilliant. This woman was so patient, respected his past and boundaries, but never gave up the chase. I loved that she was the one pursuing him. Ozzy was intrigued from the start, but since he hadn’t dated since his wife passed, he wasn’t sure how to respond and sometimes felt like he was making a fool of himself. These two are fantastic together, and Ozzy, the MMC, is an amazing dad to his daughter, Lola. The little things he did for Maren had me swooning, and his emotional, intimate side was incredible.

The sneaking around added such a fun element—it had me giddy for them. Lola was also a great kid to read about.

Just read it! It’s worth every minute.

I love this series so far, and I’m really looking forward to the next book!

This story follows Atticus and Nicole, who have been divorced for a while but are drawn back together to care for a family member who still believes they’re married. Forced to confront their past and reveal the truth, can they find their way back to love?

This was a good read, and the audiobook was fantastic! I loved the exes-to-lovers element and how both characters struggled with feelings that never truly faded. Atticus has a hard time moving on and doesn’t want to lose Nicole again, while she hides her emotions behind a protective barrier. The emotional depth and character dynamics were great.

That said, this is my least favorite Penelope book so far. I struggled with the pregnancy and child storyline—I wasn’t shocked by the revelations, and the emotional weight of their past didn’t fully land for me. I felt like too much time was lost between the lines, which made it harder to connect with their relationship.

Regardless, I’ll always keep reading Penelope’s work because I love her writing and the stories she creates, but this one just didn’t leave a lasting impression on me.

I’m diving straight into this review—what an emotional rollercoaster! The story alternates between past and present timelines, following Scarlett and Jameson as they fall madly in love through tough times and war, while Georgia and Noah work in the present to finish Scarlett and Jameson’s story. Georgia and Noah constantly butt heads, but I felt their spark from the moment they met. Then, when we reached the final moments of Scarlett and Jameson’s timeline, I was shocked—I didn’t see the twist coming. That twist alone made me bump my rating from 4 to 4.5 stars because it was fantastic.

Now, did I cry? No, I didn’t. I felt the emotions, but I think I was in shock. The only thing I struggled with was the timeline jumps; switching back and forth made it a bit difficult at first. Because of this, the relationships developed quickly, and I wish Georgia and Noah’s timeline had been more drawn out. But with two sets of main characters, there’s only so much you can do. Even though I loved all the characters, I preferred Georgia and Noah’s timeline.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book—it was beautifully written. Highly recommend!

This story follows Dani and Bridger. From a young age, Dani experienced harm from her father, and Bridger was the one she would run to for safety. At eighteen, she moved away to attend college. But now, Dani has returned to town, and Bridger can’t let her leave again. Will they finally take the plunge and fall for one another?

I really enjoyed this book! The audiobook is great, so be sure to pick it up. I loved how Dani and Bridger had history from a young age—both secretly falling for each other, but due to age and distance, the timing was never right. I didn’t expect them to reconnect so quickly, but it worked. Normally, I love a bit of a chase and a slow burn, but I didn’t mind how fast their relationship developed because their connection was strong, and the spice was fantastic. Bridger was so caring, protective, and always listened to Dani. Birdie is the cutest kid!

I will say I guessed who was responsible for the final fire, and I thought the last few chapters felt a bit rushed and didn’t expect it to end so quick. Over all this was a great read.

“You can run but you can’t hide Reckless.”

This story follows Pepper Montgomery, a beautiful and intelligent scientist who runs a research and development company, revolutionizing the medical field with new devices. While on a trip to Paris with friends and family, everything changes. That’s when she crosses paths with Clay Braddon—a flirty, playboy jock and famous NFL player. Clay has been hooked on Pepper since a wedding and hasn’t stopped thinking about her. But how long can she resist his temptation?

This was a good read, and the audiobook is fantastic if you’re considering picking it up. That said, it’s not my favorite Melissa Foster book to date. I struggle with relationships that are already established from the start. The story is very character-driven, with little plot, and I prefer a bit more substance outside of the romance.

Don’t get me wrong—I enjoyed Pepper and Clay together. The spice was fantastic, and the sneaking around was delicious. I also liked Pepper’s self-doubt when it came to Clay; she doesn’t quite understand what he sees in her, which added depth to her character. Clay, on the other hand, is “Mr. Perfect”—thoughtful, caring, and completely devoted to making her feel special. While I loved Clay, his over-the-top affection felt like a bit much at times.

Ultimately, my reading experience with this one comes down to personal preference, so my review shouldn’t deter you from giving it a try!
