Straightforward, blunt, and clever. I appreciate how Dr. Dunbar introduces new puppy owners to a list of absolute prioritizes for their puppies, and the span of time they have to help their puppy reach developmental milestones. He gives training instructions that are genius in their simplicity and take the dog's perspective into account. Biting is an issue that some other books I've read on dogs shy away from, but Dr. Dunbar helps puppy owners understand how dogs learn bite inhibition so we can guide them through the process without inadvertently neglecting to teach them this life-saving skill. I highly recommend this book to other soon-to-be puppy parents. You can even download it for free online at DunbarAcademy.com. It was a relief for me to find this resource and to see that Dr. Dunbar has many other resources available for free on his website.
