DNF at 45% read. Once Boq buried his face into the Tiger's hairy breasts I couldn't go on.
I can't read this dribble any longer, even if it has been on my TBR since I first saw the musical in 2009. Winnie Holzman deserved a bloody Pulitzer for somehow writing Wicked the Musical out of this depressing, dry and weirdly sexual monstrosity.
Oz purists don't come for me. I think the L. Frank Baum book are weird and boring too.
If you're a musical fan or want to read this before the movie comes out - don't bother. Save yourself the pain. We don't always have to read the source material. I love Jesus Christ Superstar but I'm never gonna read the Bible.
