Craft had his eye on Lovely for a while, but when he walks into her salon with his two daughters, he knows what he wants. But Lovely just got rid of man who lied to her and played her. Will she take a chance on Craft?

I was left a bit wanting on this. I love Craft and his babies. I love the connection he and Lovely were building. It was funny, and heartwarming in places. I love that they were all surrounded by so much family, even though in some places it seemed like the story was shifting to be more about them and less about Lovely and Craft. But it didn't feel as romantic as I would have liked. There was a meet cute, some flirting, and one date. I felt like it needed more. And maybe if the subplot hadn't taken up so much space we could have gotten it. Glen, his mom and grandfather were a mess and I don't know that I needed to see so much of them. Wise was a great character but she kind of overshadowed everyone, which is weird to do as a side character. All in all, the story had maybe too many moving parts and I wish it had settled a bit more. But I did like the main characters.

The second half takes us through Kelcee and Xander meeting again, and figuring out exactly what happened on their drunken night together, and how they're connected in a way they didn't know. Xavier and Shan stumble through trying to make a temporary thing permanent, and even the parents come into play.

So the second half of this was more chaotic than I think I was ready for, lol. I did love how Xander was focused on his family the whole way, how he protected Kelcee and her feelings. Kelcee had her moments of stubbornness but with her past I understood. She wasn't interested in being pacified with gifts and sitting under a man's thumb again. I did think her insistence on running off was dangerous and immature. But she realized it too, so all was well. Her father's animosity towards her seemed to escalate quickly and I was confused for a bit, and also confused as to why her mother didn't catch up sooner. Xavier and Shan were funny and then a little exhausting with their love games, but reformed players need time, I guess. Kelcee's ex lived a little too long, but I did love her and Xander and the way they took care of each other.

Kelcee is in a dead end relationship, with a man who appeases her with gifts and money. Xander is a farmer and kingpin, who realizes he's being played in his relationship. The two of them end up in DR on vacation with his brother and her best friend. And sparks fly. But what happens on vacation, stays on vacation. Right?

Okay, so this story pulled me right in. I love that the plot was something different than what I've read. Incorporating real farm life into drug life is creative and I loved it. Xander was no-nonsense and very much about his business. Xavier was funny and so silly, but I knew there was more to him than met the eye and I loved his and Shanice's interactions. Kelcee had great spirit. I loved that she tried in her relationship--it showed she really cared and her guilt at what happened with Xander reinforced that. I like the way they connected, although I wish I had seen more of it on page. But I get that the idea was to fill in the blanks with Part Two but it just felt incomplete until I got to end and figured that out. But I really enjoyed this.

Elizabeth has been abandoned by her husband, and in order to keep the farm she's worked so hard to maintain, she has to take a husband. Jordan is a prisoner, who can take a wife and work the land to avoid the hangman's noose. And so the two were wed. But could there be something more?

This was a short by Ms. Bev, but it still did not disappoint. The way she wrote the passion between Jordan and Elizabeth felt slow and easy, even though it happened fast. She told almost just as much story as her longer works and I swooned. Jordan was an honorable man, rugged and strong. But still able to be gentle with his wife and ease her mind. Elizabeth did what needed to be done and I loved her spirit. I liked that it wasn't a leap into love; it was a walk, with their eyes wide open, and the knowledge that they still had much to learn. Plus, the passion between these two smoked the pages. Loved it.

Noah and Qshauna had a whirlwind romance and a forever kind of love. Noah believed someone else over his wife and caused a rift he couldn't repair. But he's determined to find a way. Because he can't live without his wife, and try as she might, she feels the same way.

Okay, so Noah is unhinged. Out of his mind. He is unwell... and probably my favorite. He broke in and posted up at his ex-wife's house to enjoy himself in her bed, watching a tape of them. I mean... sir, please! He wanted his wife and was not going to et her forget it. I did love the way Q pushed back and made it clear that he hurt her, and the hurt wasn't going to disappear just because he was ready. i loved that he still took care of the house and her. I loved the way they moved with each other, even though there was hurt and disappointment. Q pulling away because she saw Chauncey made me frown--I saw that coming. But she realized she could lean on Noah and he solved the problem.

They were passionate and very sexy and I love seeing them restoke the fire. Loved this one.

Lukah has wanted Kabrea for years but an altercation at her birthday party two years before, and her belief he was nothing more than a man whore had them firmly in the flirting as friends zone. But Lukah is a changed man, and an impatient one. He's ready to claim his soulmate and convince her they've always been meant to be.

This was the cutest, sexy story. I love the way Lukah just broke down every barrier Brea put up in front of him. He wasn't letting anything get in the way of his destiny but he also wasn't going to put up with her pushing away what they both needed. I understood Kabrea's hesitation, and I would say I identify, but love can happen when you get out of your own way and she did.

Dutchess and Judah have been BFF's for forever. But Judah has always felt more, and Dutchess was scared to give in, so she strung him along. but everyone gets tired. Judah tried to move on but three years later, Dutch is back to mess with his head. But now he wants to mess with hers too.

Okay, these two and their love games had me spinning and I'm not gonna lie--it was tiring after a while. But I love their bond. I love the way they new each other. I wish they had both been more open to understanding to the other but the way they connected was always good. They were hot and very passionate. It was a testament to the love Dutch kept denying but I get why she was scared. Both of them needed more trust in themselves and each other. Judah flying off the handle at every turn and Noah interfering had me clutching my pearls. I thought they'd never get it right. But they did. It was a ride. but I liked it.

Rainbow is getting over a bad relationship when she drunkenly decides to make her ex pay. Her neighbor Hassan, who's been nursing a crush on her, stops her from making that mistake, but then they lose touch. Three years later, Rainbow is back in town, scared to meet her long-lost family, stuck in a dead end situationship when Hassan walks into her bar. And the spark is still there.

I loved Bow and Hassan's banter. I like the way they moved around each other. They circled each other both scared to trust. Hassan got on my nerves, being so demanding when he was afraid to go all in, but I understood him wanting to be sure And I was happy Bow got to make some demands of her own. When she went off on her own to solve the problem, I got her reasoning but I knew it would end badly. But I was happy she went to get what was hers in the end. The family reunion was my favorite part. Gunnah and the brothers gave Bow what she always wanted and it was emotional.

Now let's get to how hot this was. Let me say that Ms. Norfleet writes the fat girl erotica I love to read and she's pretty special. I love her in this lane. Bow being plus sized, confident and beautiful, knowing her power made this sexy story even hotter and I was very pleased. Good job.

Rambo and Gianna are the crazy co-stars from Saint and Asim. Twenty plus years, and eight kids in their hood love is the comic relief everyone needs. But Gianna catches Rambo doing something he promised he'd given up and all hell breaks loose. Now it's Christmas, they're separated and moving on... or at least pretending too.

Okay so, this was dramatic in a fun way. I like that Gianna pushed back, but never too far. Because Rambo is unhinged, lol. I don't know that the issue was something worth ending a marriage over, but I did like that she stood her ground. And that he made it up to her in the way that she needed. Them moving on was too fast for me and I was happy that fell apart. The breaks into the rest of the crew were okay--gave the book a bit more weight, and Ne'Asha and Asim's subplot broke my heart. But they came together as a family. Saint and Ava were cool and calm as always and Bishop and Kalesha were great. I like holiday vacations. Good story.
