"...You are officially condemned to a lifetime of Misery..."

Ali Hazelwood strikes again! Honestly, I'm convinced she can do no wrong. So, when I heard she was dabbling in paranormal romance with a sprinkle of Omegaverse, I was a tad apprehensive. But let me tell you, she did not disappoint!

The banter? Chef's kiss! Forced proximity/arranged marriage trope? Absolute perfection. I might be a bit biased, but hey, it's one of my favorites.

I'm already counting down the days until her next release because, let's face it, I'll be in serious withdrawal by then.
And based on that last line? I'm sensing a potential extension of this novel, and I am totally here for it!

Cheers to Ali Hazelwood and her endless talent!

"I won't get stronger if I give in to fear."

So, Jinwoo's life keeps getting more complicated by the minute. Enemies are cropping up, but so are a few allies. The system he's caught up in has its advantages, but it's still shrouded in mystery. And just when you think things might calm down, another close call shakes things up.

Trouble seems to follow him like a shadow, and I can't wait to see how he navigates through it all.

Bring on the next chapter!

"Life or death hanging on by a proverbial thread..."

Let me tell you about Jinwoo Sung - known as the underdog of all hunters. Despite being labeled as the weakest, he never backs down, risking it all to support his family, especially his ailing mother and school-going sister. But when a tempting payday appears on the horizon, Jinwoo finds himself questioning if he's gambled too much.

I'm absolutely loving the top-notch artwork. I'm eager to see where Jinwoo's journey takes him next.

Cheers to more thrilling chapters ahead!

 Adulthood should be illegal.

I've been stuck in a killer reading slump lately, but The Villain and Evie have really reignited my interest in reading. Their dynamic is captivating. Evie's like a chaotic tornado, shaking things up around the Villain. The ending of this book took me by surprise! While I was initially leaning towards a 3-star rating, the last 100 pages bumped it up to a solid 4. Evie resonates with me on a deep level. While many characters possess qualities we admire, I admire how the author fully embraces Evie's quirky, awkward traits—ones we all share—and lets them shine. I can't wait for the next book!

 "Honey-Girl."

:2.5:

I struggled through this one. His pet name for her haunted me through the whole book. The whole book is full of the ideas of a "man's job," and "men don't do that." I get that it's part of the character and how he was raised but the lack of communication and close-mindedness really infuriated me. I only had an hour left of this audiobook and I had to force myself to finish. I did like the level of attraction that Dom and Rosie have for each other, even after 10 years of marriage. I liked the sweet things they did for each other but I couldn't get past the pet name or the repeated reminder of what is a "man's responsibility."

"Whoever said, 'The truth will set you free,' was an idiot."

Reread

Grumpy-sunshine wins again. I love how these stories don't show characters changing everything about themselves but rather the journey you have to take to let someone in. I think I like this series so much because the FMCs are always the exception for the MMCs. Rereading these again so I can read the last one and I am super excited to see where it goes.

I'm still a sucker for this story. It's got it's issues and cringe-y moments but I eat it up every time. I love the chaos of this book and the timing of it. This is one of the books I use as an example when people ask me what I love it a book.

 "...insignificant among the centuries."

I love Justin and Viola's story and watching it develop. I think the only reason I didn't grasp onto this more was because it's regency. It's not exactly in my wheel house. I like it but it just didn't hit the same this time. Taking this into consideration, I think I would normally rate it at the full four stars.
I do love how devoted Justin is to Viola and how willing he is to do whatever he can to make her happy. Watching Justin fall so easily for her after realizing he had never lost his friend in the war and after getting to know her even more was so sweet to watch. Watching the personal growth they both go through for themselves pulled at my heartstrings.

 "Together, alone."

Tessa Bailey is one of my favorite authors. This one was cute and simple but nothing to write home about. Smaller town, baseball, home improvement vibes although that's mostly to the wayside. Something about it didn't fully grasp my attention like a lot of her other novels have. It still scratched the itch though. I am a sucker for the fake dating trope and groveling. I have a few other books to read in between but I will be reading the rest of the series.

"Just making sure that a giant rat isn't trying to eat my jeans."

I was worried about this one because of some of the negatives I had heard about it. I think this book is best enjoyed if you go into it understanding that they are novellas and you won't get a condensed version of a novel for each story but you will still get a fully flushed out story with the important plot points and the well known Ali Hazelwood flair. I still felt that warm and cozy feeling I get from her novels and where some answers aren't blatantly explained, Hazelwood makes sure to leave the door open for us to figure it out. After reading this, Ali Hazelwood is officially one of my go-to authors, but, I promise you, no one is surprised by that.
