Haikyu!!, Vol. 36 by Haruichi Furudate
5.0
Dumpster battle has been an emotional experience and I don't know how I can put this in words but I'll try...
Volleyball is a team sport and I've never played it but I understand that you need to know your players and have an unspoken communication almost telepathic even.
When we spend a lot of time with people playing, talking or just being.. we see the patterns we have a schedule of some sort and we do have those telepathic moments.
I absolutely loved them when I had them with my roommates and friends. For me that's one of the most magical moments of friendship and reading this has reminded me of my college friends and how much I miss knowing someone and feeling the same thing at the same time.
This has nothing to do with haikyu and everything to do with it at the same time. Kuro and kenma's friendship is so so lovely. I adore them so much. The last page has the panel of Hinata getting excited because of kenma, and Kuro just laughing it off AAAAAH ITS GOLD thank you furudate 😭✊🏼

I picked these mangas up from the library (yep all 10 volumes hehe) when my friend recommended strobe edge! So this review is gonna encapsulate all the volumes haha
I usually don't read romance but this series was so refreshing. I've never been in love so as a 20 something reading about a cute high school romance felt kinda good.
The artstyle was soo cute!! I loved getting to know most of the side characters and their past. I wish there was more story or characteristics to the characters but that's how teen romance mangas are mostly so I get it.
Somethings I loved:
I loved how mayuka is the one who grows "wings" and decides to end things.
The love triangle or angle didn't get too complicated and messy
Ninako's firm understanding of herself was pretty cool, girl knew she loved Ren and she tried her best to navigate that and didn't take advantage of anyone else
Sayuri and Daiki were adorable!
Manabu was fighting for the ship more than anyone else I loved his bonus story an absolute mad lad

Spoilers ahead !!!!
This book was completely different from the show (by the time of writing this I have only watched Part 1 of the polin season) I haven't read any bridgerton books before and I was interested in this because of the show!
I did like the characters in the book and lady whistledown didn't feel as dark as a secret compared to the show, because I don't think Colin would be as chill in the show and I very much lived the fact that Colin knew about her before they got together and I wanted the same in the show but I'm not sure that happens lol
I found Colin's anger to be a bit too much at certain instances but his ending speech did cover it for me.
Also he better have talked about Penelope as his wonderful editor in his books lmao
Some other thoughts i had while reading :
• Why is Colin's personality trait his hunger like that's bought up every single time it's crazy 🤣
• Oh and lady Danbury stabs everyone with her crane
• I get that penelope was a wallflower but the repeated reminders were a bit much lmao.
I did enjoy reading it tho! I breezed through it rather quickly and the last chapter was worth it haha the thrill was fantastic hehe

This was very interesting.. I will definitely be looking into Adlerian psychology. This was written in a simple language which will help people stick to the end too. There were some concepts that might be hard to understand or accept and I get it, my internal consciousness does agree with most of what's said. But life is complicated sometimes... I still have a lot to learn maybe ? But to me it is complicated and I'll have to introspect a bit more.
Living here and now, separation of tasks, to be okay with being disliked, contribution to others, confidence in others, comrade behaviour and some other concepts were great :')

I enjoyed this more than the first book!! The best thing about these books is the artstyle to me. It's so dynamic the shading, the expressions and the way they narrate certain instances is like watching something . The editing is very cool. I loved this one because of how mysterious it seemed. I love Pauline too and I loved seeing her explore this. At the end I still didn't get answers to all my questions. But I loved it.
I like culty mysteries so diving in to this was pretty cool the visions and experiences that Pauline goes through were drawn so well!!
