There was so much potential here and so much foreshadowing that never went anywhere. I realize that the first-person limited POV was essential to the political metaphor. Nevertheless, too tantalizing to be good.

And what did I learn from this book? A whole big bunch about chickens!

This was so much fun. Takes the energy and adventure of the first Void City novel and amps it up. Great action and adventure and some fun laugh-out-loud sections. I'm eager to see if there's a Void City #3 and get right on that!

Oh, wonderful book with a surprisingly happy ending! It was less action-y than the first Thursday Next novel, but I'm definitely intrigued and can't wait to get to #3.

A fun book about the evolution of English in America, it's not quite as witty or fun as A Short History of Nearly Everything. The annecdotes were nice, but there were sections when the book was so listy I found myself skimming to get to the next bit.
