I'm only giving this book 5 stars because it worked lol. It used a lot of the same methods I used last time I quit smoking for a stretch of 1.5 years. This time I feel it will be for good. It was terribly written with a lot of YOU CAN DO IT sort of nonsense in caps literally, but it worked. The brainwash really worked for the better. Honestly would read it again if I ever have the urge-and honestly the thought/threat of having to re-read it is almost enough to prevent me from trying another cig again.

I love her writing so much. I love so much that we can tell she did her research, is of the culture ,etc. This book was such a fun take on the typical exorcism trope. I read multiple people compare it to Jennifer's body and the craft-which immediately made me want to read it. I saw a few subtle similarities but this is definitely an original story.

This is one of my favorite sci-fi books ever! There's a lot of really funny subtle obvious plays on words [pun intended]. This concept was so cool and interesting. I would love to see a movie do it justice.

A lot of the gore and violence felt gratuitous, one of the few books that I would say the movie was better. None of the characters were likeable but that was expected. It just felt like coke fueled paranoia and psychosis. Accurate for the times I guess.

Wow. If only she received/accepted the love she deserved. Her town did her so dirty, full of hate. This book was so good and made me happy to hear about her living with militant lesbians in SF.

I loved this book so much, There were so many ignored details that never were passed on to the movies released. There was a made for tv movie that was about as close to the book as they could do but it could've still been better. Definitely read this one more than once.
