was it good? not really. was it the worst thing i’ve ever read? doesn’t even rank. i almost gave this two stars for just leaving me with an overall feeling of meh

certainly not the worst book i've ever read but certainly not good
this book would have been functionally exactly the same if all of the mythological names were replaced with unrelated names
the pacing in this was so weird and rough, nothing happened for so much of the book, the worldbuilding was really poor, and the parenthesis got be too much (like really)
only character i care about is drex and odds of him showing up in book 2 are not good
