This book was phenomenal. I don't often read YA books, but this should be required reading for young teens. I think had I read it after my date rape experience when I wasn't much older than Melinda in the book, it would have helped me have a voice. I just finished it, and I am in tears.

To be honest, I've never been a Britney fan. It's not that I didn't like her, I just didn't have any of her albums or anything. Her music's fine- later music I liked better. All that to say I really am glad I read this book. It gave me a lot of insight, and folks just really never know what kinds of things a person is going through.
