It was okay. I liked the new experience of reading a deaf character, but overall it felt too long and the conflict of them clinging to only be frenemies dragged on for too long.

Love the weaving of Mexican characters and history into the classic British setting of historical romances.

Does it bang? No

Cute story, but I found some of the writing confusing - not sure who was speaking at times, who was texting and sometimes it felt like a detail had been missed.

Does it bang? No

It was a cute story, but there were so many “romance reasons” happening that it started to get annoying.

The fact that Cass took over Charlie’s TV hosting job with so little info, the fact that Charlie never looked for her fricken phone (or got a new one), the fact that they made so little effort to communicate with each other during the swap… these ridiculous things just kept happening and started to get on my nerves. Also when they act like putting photos with links on a bakery website is an amazing idea….what?!?!

I think there just wasn’t enough payoff for me to overlook these things.
