This was so good!!

The tension and the build up was so good!! Although this is a slow burn the build up and then pay off is SO worth it

- childhood best friends to lovers
- long term mutual crushes
- fake engagement
- pop star x pro ice hockey player
- sports romance

I love how bad they had it for each other, especially Aleks I feel like he was a lot more open with his feelings, although Mia couldn't tell (or was just telling herself it was all fake so she didn't get hurt)

The ending was so cute, I honestly had no clue how this was going to end but it was so good

I loved being back in this world and with these characters

The second epilogue debuting Carter and Livia's book, oh my gosh - if you've read any of these books you know how bad Carter has it for Liv and I'm so excited for their book now

Thank you so much to Kandi and her team for the ARC - all opinions are my own

I loved this!!

I love that you really saw their relationship develop and it was so much more than just physical attraction, you saw how much they cared for each other and supported each other

I love that Jaxon was a softie underneath the whole grumpy 'no one wants me, i have no friends, all I do in hockey is fight and theyre going to trade me, all I need is my cat' - I really loved his character development and how even when he couldn't say it, he showed everyone how much he cared

The epilogue had me sobbing, it was such a good ending

- sports romance - pro ice hockey
- one night stand to oh shit they're my new coworker
- workplace romance
- forced proximity
- found family

I really enjoyed this book, it was such a cute college romance

- sports romance - ice hockey
- college romance
- he begs her to tutor him

I really like the teasing nature of their relationship and how much they trusted each other with telling each other about their past and supported each other with it

Big plot ick for me is when the MMC goes to confront the someone from the FMCs past and punches him, it's such a big turn off for me, especially when the FMC says to leave it

I can see why this is a tiktok fave and looking forward to reading more in this series

I enjoyed this book, I liked the storyline and how some chapters had different romance tropes in the header that related to that chapter and the trope in it

I liked that the story was set over a long period of time and that you really got to see the characters grow and work through their pain

- motel owner and author X motel guest and author
- small town setting
- single pov, first person

Thank you to Montlake for the arc - all opinions are my own
