Overall solid read, got it from Once Upon a Book Club box (gift from one of my teachers).

It started off strong, but once the plot started to develope it lost my interest. There are many plot holes, a couple questions I have that will not be answered. The gifts I got in the box were adorable, which made the experience way better for me.

Some of the characters were really annoying, it was hard to like them when most of their personalities are the same. Brady's character ending? Wtf?

Not my favorite read, but It was enteratining for the most part.

the last 100 pages were so sad, like next level. i didn’t cry bc i am a ginger therefore i have no soul, but wow this book was something else.

the writing itself was bland, nothing too crazy. the story was fast paced, and there were multiple villains in the story. i was very upset about some of my favorite characters dying, that wasn’t cool at all.

other than that, i loved this. it was a super fun read!

okay so i really do not know how to feel about this book. i did enjoy it, and i did not see the ending coming at all. i mean ADAM? SERIOUSLY?? dude it shouldn’t have been him i was rooting for him.

anyways this book was okay. it wasn’t spectacular, it was okay. i enjoyed it, i really liked nikki. gosh i love that name. also why was Jill lowkey harsh to Henry this whole book? Henry deserved better. (I prefer Henry from RW&RB)

overall since i enjoyed this i give it 3.5/5 stars

ugh i cant even describe my love for this book. it’s 100% a book i read in 6th grade. this is my #1 comfort book. 2nd being “Because of Winn-Dixie”. i’m a sucker for middle grade books. just saying this is an amazing book. 1000000/10

i am horrible at reviews, so please bare with me.

i finished this book about 3 minutes ago and i am disappointed. the story itself was average. i liked it, but i didn’t love it. there was a forced love triangle for no reason, i especially hated that part. the idea was there, but it was executed VERY poorly.

One good thing that really stood out to me,
Wallach writes his teenage characters accurately. they do things that you could see the teenagers of today do.
i could find some people really relate to the characters, and their experiences. besides the inevitable near death

listen, i had such high expectations for this and i was expecting to bawl my eyes out. i did not cry. Mateos death ??? why would he make tea when he knows the stove is broken ?? idk dude that was so confusing for me.

this was alright. i liked it. didn’t love it. it had its moments where i was smiling ear to ear, but it also had its moments where i think i was supposed to feel something but i didn’t. here’s my positives:

i loved Rufus. he was the best character hands down. he’s someone that i think many people will relate with. his personality is very likable. his group of friends too. i would be friends with them in real life.

i’m a sucker for characters all having small connections. every single character had a complete effect on the story. I LOVE THAT!! the chart at the end showing how everyone connected together? ARE YOU KIDDING?? i loved that so so so much.

overall, i thought this book had a really cool plot. however, i would not go out of my way to tell someone to read this.

I could not finish this book. It took everything in me to get as far as I did, I stopped about halfway through. I am going to be so honest, I read the synopsis and I was not that interested. I bought it because of the cover. Yes, I judge books by their cover. Yes, It works for me most of the time.

This book was very slow paced for me, I got bored during the first couple of chapters. The only reason I gave it 2 stars was because I enjoyed the time period the story takes place in. I always found the 1800's interesting, so I particularly enjoyed that aspect.

The romance did not go anywhere for the pages I did read, It was bland and boring. At the end of the day, this book was impossible for me to keep going. I would not recommend this book.

i really enjoyed this book, it was very gripping and the story was easy to follow. it was a friends to lovers trope and some of my favorite books were like that too so of course i enjoyed it. this book is not too long, it’s short enough to devour in one sitting. i loved this, 4.5/5 stars.

4.5 stars!

I love Laurie Halse Anderson. I have loved her since the first book of hers I read. This story is just as powerful as “Speak” if not more than. Anderson really digs in with her story and how others came to her about Speak. I loved this book, Anderson has done it again! The tears are real and her words are going to be stuck on me.

10000/10 Would recommend!
