Grace is nice person but she afraid if everything will change amd she have issued with her gay son
Hannah had a problem with her knee, and with her family, she feel failed become a good mother and grandmother.
Amelia, she always use a scarf around the neck, afraid people will see her scar, the scar that remind her when she lost her child and her husband afterward...
Until someday, Amelia get a letter from her distant cousin, Arthur. She get a house from Arthur, located in Covington, North Carolina.
She, Grace and Hannah, go to Covington, even though their family disagree.
They decide to make a new and better life in Covington
Grace teaching in elementary school, and get involved with her student's grandpa, Bob, Hannah make a green house, and Amelia do photography.But, still they get problem. Grace feel jealous when Amelia go with Bob, she realize that she love Bob, but she refuse to marry him. Hannah got angry when her grandson is drunkin and get car accident, and Amelia still mourn with her children lost...
First time I got this book, I'm surprised!
Why?
Because of the age of the character (they're at the same age with my granpa and granma,60-70's years old !!)
I doubt I will not enjoy this and feel bored, but I'm wrong :D
The story is good, I know sometimes is bored me, but I cant stop reading
The story is so calm, kind and heartwarming
I get that, even though you get older, you still can enjoy your life with your condition, you still can love someone again (like Grace and Bob), you still can repair what's wrong with you and your family.
