it was an interesting read.
i wish it mentioned more of its sources and provide more informations, especially on creatures as famous as vampires and werewolves and elves (i think each deserved a way longer chapter)

a really puzzling read.
insanely terrifying marvelous illustrations and the story is captivating. i still have a lot of questions that will remain unanswered.
however, i admit i have to admit that i wonder if
the aura of mystery and incomprehension around the plot is always a conscious choice or if it's possibly the result of clumsy writing.
the end is partly exciting partly unsatisfying, because something tells me that the plot/writing is not as polished and controlled as it could be.

but i might be wrong!!!
i really enjoyed this.

beautiful novel(la), but in my opinion it's more of a long somewhat epic poem than anything.
some sentences are really striking and thought-provoking.

however, i'd say that one shouldn't read this book if they're hoping for a /plot/.
there is one, but it's more gaz than concrete matter, you have to focus on the feelings. on the images.

i'll have to read this again. i loved it.
the only reason this doesn't have 5 stars is because i feel like the flowery, poetic writing style might be too forced sometimes?
