I don't remember anymore why I decided to pick up this book. Although, I remember when I was gifted the paperback copy.

I started it in May and helped myself a little with an audiobook. Despite that, I seemed to alternate with it and find myself in some sort of reading slump that had nothing to do with this book.
On the contrary, its beautiful writing and language brought some inspiration. Mr Doerr knows how to operate words to create amazing imagery. He also tells stories. At first, they seem ordinary and predictable, but when taking a closer look, he presents the beauty of this world and makes the reader stop and think. He stopped for us to notice details and describe them with words. This book is a story of two children, who come from entirely different worlds yet are so similar to each other. The action takes place in France and Germany during WWII. Simply, I am here to say that we are all connected to our story, and we are connected to others as they are part of us. In this big, intertwined universe, we share something in common. I feel like this is the essence of "All the Light We Cannot See". It was a pleasant read, and I enjoyed the slow pace and stops here and there to appreciate more characters and their background
