Quick and enjoyable to start with, Stella and Heath were cute together when they were alone in their own little world and there in lies my bug bear, Heath panicking and keeping their budding relationship a secret rubbed me the wrong way, you like the girl and are a grown man my guy? Shout about her!! Glad it was squashed fairly quickly though but the second he said “can you keep a secret” and suggested hiding their relationship I was done with him😬 also it felt even less christmas-y than the Maddox’s book😭

A quick and cute read to start off the Christmas tbr🎄 Enjoyed reading about Maddox, Natalie and Violets journey to becoming a family.

Violet is a funny kid and I liked the initial meeting between Natalie and Violet, sometimes we don’t need to like the kid straight off the bat, it wasn’t like she was the spawn of satan and she definitely wasn’t an angel either but it was hilarious! Do kind of wish we had a little bit longer on the war between nanny and child.

Even though Maddox and Nats relationship progresses quickly it wasn’t farfetched at all and rather cute how easily they clicked and flirted. Also, got glimpses of the other Holiday brothers and of course the seedlings for their stories so excited for those, hopefully they have a biit more Christmas-y vibes.

This is one of the few books I’ve read where the fmc should’ve grovelled, Ciara essentially runs away - after listening to some lady she had spoken to like once and is of no importance to this family she married into - under the guise of it being a test of her and Nathans relationship to see if its real (they were literally fine up until that point¿) but tell me why Nathan is the one who “apologises” and gives the long ass romantic speech?

Also hated the “I’m an outsider” spiel.. ok and? literally no one had an issue with that outside of Zeke, the family member literally everyone hates..

I couldn’t do it! I believe delulu is the solulu but NEVER LIKE THIS! I’m in shock how she ignored so many red flags worse yet she still thought she can turn those red flags green???

The main reason I dnf’d was how Avery’s treats her friend in general but Chapter 12’s ending specifically!Paige, her bestfriend mind you, rightfully chews her out for clearly being a beg and wanting to continue being with Kyle despite him being so disrespectful and Avery says/thinks/whatever “…the only evil person in this scenario was Paige” NOT THE BOY WHO CALLED YOU HIS SISTER TO A GIRL HE GAVE HIS NUMBER? THE SAME GUY WHO THEN WHEN HE INVITES YOU OUT MADE OUT WITH ANOTHER GIRL AND TOOK HER HOME LEAVING YOU STRANDED BECAUSE YOU DIDN’T LET HIM COP A FEEL?!

I was surprised how much i enjoyed that. from book 1 and 2 i really thought I’d hate lucian with a passion! i can’t remember much of book 2 but i do remember lucian did something that pissed me tf off and made me hesitate to get to this book.

that being said i throughly enjoyed it! i think for me it was just so funny that a 40 year old man behaved like this, i’ve seen a lot if reviews take issue with that about all the knockemout men but it just tickles me pink 😂 (who knows in a couple months i may come back and change my rating because i realised wait a damn minute) there was something so funny but adorable about this grown adult clearly being in love with sloane, everyone and their dogs being aware of it but he denied himself those feelings, his pov probably helped because boy put sloaney on a pedestal (subconsciously) yet was so dumb in connecting the dots of his emotions¿

definitely wanted more grovelling and apologising for 20+ years of bickering and the anthony hugo thing felt anticlimactic but hey ho i still had a rollercoaster reading this and thats what i like in my books🙂‍↕️
