I really like this book and is quite a comfort read for me. I know it's quite dark but in a way it relaxes me.

I read this book out of nostalgia because I read the series when I was a young teenager, but I know now why I stopped. Because even though it was a cute story in general it seamt quite patriarchic I really didn't like these under tones.

I loved this book so much. It was so emotional and I cried so so much. But it was still the book I needed the most time for this year, because sometimes it was hitting a little bit to close to home and I needed to take a break and read something else just for the sake of my mental health.

Sadly this book let me down I was so excited to read it. I sounded so cool, fascinating and politically important. But the writing style ruined everything for me it was so slow hard to read an choppy.

It was such a cute book about accepting your self and others for who they are. It's such a cute story and very easy to read. I really recommend this book, because even though it has some very tough themes it's easy to read with a happy ending.

I really love Suzanne Collins writing. It's so easy to read because her writing is so exciting and gripping. I love her books. Even though they are so sad.

I saw this book a couple of weeks ago on tiktok, but sadly I don't know in what context anymore. The main reason I wanted to read the book is because after all I’ve heard we have very similar fathers. And the book didn't disappoint.
I think it's interesting that Franz Kafka was afraid of his father what he makes clear in the beginning, and it's also mentioned in passing in other passages of the book. And after reading this I'm so glad, that i was able to cut ties with mine and was not afraid of him.
It isn't super simple to read, it was written almost a hundred years ago, and it shows in the writing style. So if you aren't already used to read classics it could be a challenge, but it's a very short book, and its worth to try reading it.
If you have toxic parents or are a parent and your children are no contact with you, you absolutely should read it. because it's now as relevant as it was a hundred years ago. And maybe helps a child find closure or a parent to find a way to finally work on them self so the hurt no one else.
It an important work of literature.

Sadly I was quite disappointed with this book. And just because it was not about what the cover and the synapsis and everything told me what the book was allegedly about. Judging from the cover ist should have been a book about Han's and Leia's relationship after episode 4 and maybe you could say it is about that, but they had almost no time together, and the time they do spend together was a little bit: "I cold take it or leave it, I really don't think it's that great spending time you." (Not a Quote but it could be). It would habe been a much better book if I would have been able to go in to this book with the right expectations like with a title like "After the Rebellion" or "The battle of ..." or "The start of the new republic" or something like that.
I know that star wars is not typically super romantic but with such a book I think a little bit of romance would be appropriate,
not just that there is a proposal and a wedding
and nothing more. And I think there were one or two fade to blacks but I am really not sure because it were moments like "we were finally alone"-> End of Chapter.
All in all I love Princess Leia so much but this book was a miss for me and I would have enjoyed it more with either more romance or an entirely different focus of the book maybe event with a different title. That would make it clear that the focus is not the relationship but Leia's roll in building the new republic.

The last couple of days I was almost permanently thinking about this book, so it was high time to read it again. This book is one of my favourite cozy reads. It's thrilling and emotional with a satisfying ending. I also love the characters they are somehow very deep and shallow at the same time.
I also love that the hero was a young girl. Who helps the ghost all by her self, and she was the only one who is able to help him.
The only thing I don't love about the story are the extreme religious and puritanical references. I know it's important for the story but I still don't love it.
When I finished the book I cryed like always. They have so many beautiful word pictures and it's just so beautiful and peaceful.
Well there is a reason I read this book so often.
In my opinion the best classic story in existence.
