I saw the twist coming in the first 50 pages, HOWEVER the atmosphere that this book creates is immaculate. It's giving gothic fantasy through and through. I kind of wish this story was not split timeline - I would eat up a book only about Azure & Indigo.

definitely my favorite of this series so far!

having a really hard time getting into this. I just can't be immersed in prose that sounds like a teenage girl's diary entries or text messages. I read "demon butt" one too many times.

I had a hard time resonating with the characters. The dual timeline format was interesting, but I found it to be disjointed. I never got immersed in either timeline. I think if I were more into historical fiction, I would have liked this more.

I WANTED MORE!!!!!
