Alright, so I needed some time to think about this book and the review I wanted to give.
First, I still love this world. I love how there are different houses and I finally understand the whole worldbuilding that Sarah did. In the first book; I was definitely lost.
The writing is still pretty great, but simple. It manages to drag you in without using very complicated words, even for an adult series. I guess this is because of her YA books and being in that category most of the time.
The book follows Bryce and her friends some months after the incident with the demons. And I'm glad there are some characters you haven't been introduced yet and a huge part in this book, even if it doesnt really seem like it. This book had a very nice flow when it came to the time between events. It didnt feel too slow, but also not fast paced. However, I didn't enjoy the sex scenes after reading literally 5 of them. I get that Bryce and Hunt are literally Horny dogs, but reading about cocks hardening made me eventually just cringe. And the scenes between Bryce and Hunt aren't the only horny scenes. I started skipping pages, because I was more interested in the plot.
When I got a little bit over half way of the book, I simply couldn't put the book down. The rush I got in every chapter was unreal. Plot twist after plot twist. Eventually I thought I knew who was what, but I was definitely wrong when it was revealed.
Overall, I can't wait for the third book. The second book was made for the spicy readers, but the plot still made me enjoy the book... A lot.
