I really wanted to like this book, especially since it has queer representation but it fell flat for me. Sage pissed me off with her whole, “well my parents met in high school and got divorced so I can’t be with the guy I like bc it won’t work if we do it now.” Literally the dumbest shit I’ve ever heard. Charlie, who’s gay, hasn’t come out yet and keeps dating girls and dumping them after a few weeks. I understand he was trying to hide that he was gay but it was super shitty to date these girls and throw them away like they were nothing. He could have just not dated them in the first place!!! I mean he literally dates like 3 or 4 girls in this book and I’m like okay you could just dump the one and idk WAIT FOR A BIT??? Idk I really liked her other books but not this one.

Very enjoyable, quick, post-apocalyptic read. Love me some lesbian representation, especially in YA. A bit predictable in spots.
