Of all the Graceling realm books this one has easily become my favorite. Lovisa is the strongest character that Cashore has written and relatable beyond belief even in a wild fantasy world.
As the Graceling realm continues Winterkeep has become the deepest and most wonderfully written of all 4 books. When diversity is included so easily it makes books much more enjoyable that way.

To read a book that leaves you smiling and laughing at the end is such a nice change of pace in our everyday lives. I recommend reading this for something lighthearted but still fulfilling.

This book was such a great read and I usually don’t enjoy changing character perspectives, but it was done so easily in the book and didn’t take away from the overall story. There were many layers to both main characters.
