I found it hard to get into this book at first, but as soon as Sydney’s story was told I was hooked. I really enjoyed the morally grey characters and the multiple perspectives where done very well. I will definitely read the sequel!

AHHHH! This book reads like a teen sitcom and I love that! Except it the trope where nobody believes the truth gets annoying, we know that
Burke and Firestone would not have gotten away in real life.
But overall I really enjoy this cute queer superhero series. Can’t wait to read the third book!

This was such a sweet book, very adorable. I love myself a cute queer superhero romance. I did find myself rolling my eyes at Nicks stupidity a lot though, everything was right in front of him.

This book was beautiful written, a lot of foreshadowing and many literary devices. Once you get hooked you develop and attachment to the characters which makes the last 100 pages of the book hurt like crazy. This is the second book I’ve read in a long time that has made me cry.

This is the first novella of Zweig that I’ve read, and I was not left disappointed. My mother wanted me read this book because school age children in Germany read this book as novel study and in the western world we tend to stick to the classics that we know and love.

This is a beautiful reflective piece. It showcased the raw aggression that victims of isolation face, and this made me compare it life as it is right now. Of course our isolations are not even close to what victims of Nazis endured.

I would be interested in re reading this when I’m older to see if I gain more understanding of the story when I have more experience in life.
