I am definitely in the camp of readers that enjoyed the second book more. For some reason I was not able to connect in any way to the characters in the " 6 of crows". This time I found myself liking most of them and rooting for them to succeed.
The plot itself was good. I liked thinking the plan was going one way and then being completely turned around .
Over all a really fun read.

Definitely a more enjoyable reading experience. Although for the majority of the book the only likable character ( for me )was missing, it was still a huge improvement from the previous one.
In fact I am now thinking of reading " The King of scars " as I hope it will be written in a similar was as this last book in the trilogy.

I known that this book is YA so I am definitely not the target audience, however, there are a lot of YA books that I enjoy reading, this was not one of them.
I found nearly all the characters annoying. The plot itself is interesting as is the world Leigh Bardugo built, but having only Alina's POV really limited the way I could emers myself in the story. She is very superficial and seams easily manipulated.
I fully agree with all the reviews of the Netflix serie. It is definitely an upgrade from the book.
